The PlanetThe Planet has introduced its Server Cloud that “combines the simplicity and security of dedicated servers with the elasticity of a cloud platform”.

According to the hosting provider, the production-ready Server Cloud instances enable completely automated provisioning, with login in as little as five minutes. The Planet also offers its around-the-clock support for the Server Cloud.

The PlanetServer and hosting provider The Planet has announced availability of the Intel Quad Xeon 7550 “Nehalem EX” CPU-powered server.

The Planet Virtual Rack Now Includes the PowerEdge R710 with Xeon X5600

The PlanetThe Planet server & hosting provider has announced addition of the Dell PowerEdge R710 server with the new Intel Xeon X5600 “Westmere” series processor to the company’s fleet.

“Built with six cores, the new 32 nanometer processor operates at speeds up to 2.80GHz, with 12MB of cache, a 1333MHz memory bus, and enabled with turbo- and hyper-threading,” the press release says.

The Planet Launches G6950 SATA, G6950 SATA Plus Dedicated Servers

The PlanetIT hosting provider The Planet has added two new affordable dedicated servers to its product portfolio – the G6950 SATA and the G6950 SATA Plus.

The new servers come with the the Intel Pentium G6950 dual-core 2.8GHz 32nm processor and are packed into the Dell PowerEdge R210 chassis.
