HP Releases New Tablet and Laptops

For business users, HP released today a tablet PC, an ultraportable, and four new s-series ProBook laptops.
The HP EliteBook 2740p is an ultra-thin, multitouch-enabled convertible tablet, while the HP EliteBook 2540p is “the lightest HP model,” starting at only 3.3 pounds. Both EliteBooks include 12.1-inch displays and the latest 2010 Intel Core processors and meet the MIL-STD 810G military standards for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high and low temperatures.
The newly designed ProBook s-series laptops, with screens from 13.3 – 17.3 inches, feature a brushed-aluminum metal case with a matte surface that is available in caviar or bordeaux. According to HP, “the ProBook 4320s, 4420s, 4520s and 4720s provide an affordable combination of features in a full-function notebook PC”, including all-new 2010 Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, and a choice of the Intel HD Graphics or discrete ATI Radeon HD 4350 GPU.”
The EliteBook tablet and ultraportable will be available in the United States next month. Price for 2540p and 2740p start at $1,099 and $1,599, respectively.
The HP ProBook s-series price range is between $799 to $1,059. The notebooks will be available in the US this month.
