Dell Precision T1500 Workstation
Thursday, October 15, 2009 16:39The Dell Precision T1500 is a new desktop workstation, featuring the latest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, ATI or NVIDIA professional video cards, and a micro ATX tower chassis.
The Intel P55 chipset-based Precision T1500 comes with the Core i7-870, i7-860, or i5-750 CPU, the ATI FirePro V3750 256MB, NVIDIA Quadro FX 580 512MB or Quadro NVS 295 256MB GPU, up to 16GB of 1333MHz/1066MHz DDR3 memory, and up to 2TB of 7,200rpm hard drive storage using two HDDs. The CAD-certified PC supports non-RAID, RAID 0, and RAID 1 hard drive modes and includes a DVD-ROM, DVD burner, or Blu-ray drive.
Dell’s Precision T1500 has two PCI Express 2.0 slots: PCIe x16 (half-length) and PCI-e x1 (3/4 -length), as well as two PCI 3/4-length ports. There are also a 350W 65%-efficient power supply, twelve USB ports (four on front panel, six on back panel, and two internal), an optional 19-in-1 media card reader, optional Firewire, a Gigabit LAN port, and an optional data/fax modem. All video cards offered with the T1500 support dual monitor configurations.
With Windows Vista Business OS, the 3 Year Basic Limited Warranty, and 3 Year NBD (Next Business Day) On-Site Service, the Precision T1500 starts at $949. It can be purchased at the Dell online store.
