Dell OptiPlex 980, 580 PCs Released

Dell has refreshed its OptiPlex desktop lineup for businesses with the Intel-powered OptiPlex 980 and AMD-based OptiPlex 580.
The 980 series, “the highest-performing Dell OptiPlex desktop ever”, comes with the Intel Pentium, or Core i3, i5 and i7 processor, up to the i7-870. The PC features the Intel GMA HD integrated graphics or optionally a dedicated video card: the ATI RADEON HD 3450/4550 or NVIDIA GeForce 9300/GT330/NVS420.
The 580 mainstream business desktop includes an AMD Sempron, Athlon II, or Phenom II CPU and the ATI Radeon 4200 integrated or Radeon 3450/3470/4550 and NVIDIA NVS420 dedicated graphics.
Both PCs are available in standard desktop, mini tower, and small form factor sizes and support up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, and RAID 0/RAID 1 hard drive modes on select models.
The Dell OptiPlex 980 and OptiPlex 580 run Windows 7, Windows Vista or Ubuntu Linux OS and start at $600 and $700 respectively at the Dell online store.
