Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) now offers Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server Standard 2008 instances in all Amazon EC2 Regions, extending EC2’s existing offerings that include Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005 instances.

“Like all services offered by AWS, Amazon EC2 running Windows Server or SQL Server offers a low-cost, pay-as-you-go model with no long-term commitments and no minimum fees,” Amazon Web Services (AWS) says.
