Vonage has announced the Vonage World Mobile calling plan, providing cell phone users with unlimited international calls to over 60 countries for a flat monthly rate.

“Users of the iPhone, BlackBerry and iPod touch can subscribe to Vonage World Mobile and get access to unlimited international calling to more than 60 countries across the world. The service works on cellular or Wi-Fi using the customer’s existing contacts and cellular phone number,” Vonage’s press release says.

Apparent Corporation has released Barcode Producer 5.7 barcode generation software for Mac OS X and Windows.

Barcode Producer 5.7 is ready for 2010 barcode industry standards, including GS1 DataBar requirements for coupons. The new version updates the software’s integrated Symbology Guide and documentation for the new year’s standards, according to the press release.

Acer has released the TravelMate Timeline ultra-thin series notebooks for business users: the 15.6″ TravelMate 8571, 14″ 8471, and 13″ 8371.

The new TravelMate laptops are based on Intel Core 2 ultra-low voltage CPUs and the 4500MHD integrated GPU. Intuit has added GoBiz Solutions’ GoBiz XL , a Web applications suite for small business operations, to the App Center in QuickBooks Pro and Premier 2010 and to Intuit Workplace.

“The GoBiz XL suite includes Contact Management, Sales Cycle Management, Service/Dispatch Management and Inventory Management applications and can be accessed through many devices with Web browsers. GoBiz XL is now integrated and synchronized with QuickBooks to provide a combined front and back office SMB solution,” the press release says.

The iPAQ Glisten is a Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro-based 3G & Wi-Fi phone featuring a 2.5-inch AMOLED touch-screen, a QWERTY keyboard, and the Qualcomm 7200A processor. It also has a 3.1MP camera and GPS/AGPS support.

EMC Corporation has announced EMC Retrospect 7.7, an upgrade to its Retrospect backup and recovery software for small and medium businesses.

“Available immediately, EMC Retrospect 7.7 adds several new capabilities, including integration with VMware Consolidated Backup, which allows Retrospect to perform off-host backups of active virtual machines. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), enabling enterprises to connect their existing infrastructure to a set of isolated AWS compute resources via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection.

All current and future Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) customer accounts are enabled to use Amazon VPC, but customers will not be charged for Amazon VPC until they begin using it.

Cyberoam, a provider of identity-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) solutions, today announced an extension to its “Accelerator Series” network security appliances, the CR25ia and CR35ia.

Aimed at small and medium businesses and branch offices, the Cyberoam Accelerator CR25ia and CR35ia have “2 to 4.5 times” greater firewall throughput than that of comparable products, and “1.5 to 2 times” the IPS, anti-virus and UTM throughput values. According to Cyberoam, the Accelerator Series can handle the entire spectrum of existing and emerging threats.

A VoIP provider VoX Communications Corp has annnounced the VoX Mobile, offering unlimited data and voice service on the HTC Touch Pro2 mobile phone.

For $69.95 a month excluding taxes, the VoX Mobile service includes unlimited US, Canada and Puerto Rico calling, as well as unlimited texting, e-mail and Internet access. The HTC Touch Pro2 with Windows Mobile 6.1 is available for $549, according to voxcorp.net.
