LoJack for Laptops – How it Works

Computrace LoJack for Laptops, a software-based theft recovery service, is designed to track, locate, and recover stolen computers and protect users’ data.

LoJack for Laptops is based on the Computrace Agent software that is embedded into the BIOS firmware of computers. Some PC makers, such as Dell, optionally embed the Agent into laptops at the factory and offers LoJack service to laptop buyers. However, if you purchase LoJack separately, you can install the Agent yourself.

The Dell Vostro 220 Mini Tower and Vostro 220s Slim Tower are budget desktop PCs, designed for small business customers.

The 220s Slim Tower is based on the same technology as the 220 Mini Tower. Both systems are available with Intel CPUs, Intel’s GMA integrated or an ATI Radeon dedicated graphics processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, two hard drives for up to 2TB of storage, and DVD and Blu-ray optical drive options.
