Intel Xeon 5600 Processor Series

Intel Corporation today launched the Intel Xeon Processor 5600 series with up to 6 CPU cores.

The new server & workstation CPUs are based on 32nm production process. Intel says the quad-core version of the Xeon 5600 series peaks at 3.46 GHz with a TDP of 130 watts, while the six-core chip reaches 3.33 GHz with a TDP of 130 watts.

With 13.3-, 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch LED-backlight anti-glare displays, the Dell Vostro 3300, 3400, 3500, and 3700 are based on the Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 CPUs, depending on model. The laptops come with the Intel integrated or nVidia GeForce dedicated graphics, up to 6GB of DDR3 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive capacity, a DVD writer, and Windows 7 Home or Professional OS.
